Statistically Abnormal...

Here's a simple equation...

How many weeks are in a quarter at UCi?

Answer -> 10

Good. You're keeping up.

How many assignments are given in a Statistics class per week in a quarter at UCi?

Answer -> 1

Okay, sounds fair.

How many assignments does that make it per quarter?

Answer -> 10

Wow, you know your math.

Then, why does the syllabus say one assignment per week during the quarter, but there are 14 homework assignments???

It honestly took the class 15 minutes to ask questions of this nature, before the professor realized he made a simple mathematical error. Fifteen minutes for the man to realize that 10 does NOT equal 14.

It truly worries me, when I find myself in a college class, supposedly expanding my horizons, broadening my mind, and I'm getting taught Statistics by a person who can't count to 14.

You really should turn on "word verification" so you don't end up with any more spam. Anyway...

I had something similar in English class once when the professor handed out an assignment. The assignment was to read an article and write a summary. Here's the kicker: the article was one and a half pages long. The assignment called for a summary of no less that four pages. How does that work?

Thinking back, she wasn't so happy with me when I pointed out the mistake.

Word verification... thanks for the tip. Spammers can now stop leaving random comments irrelevant to whatever I just said.
