Name Change... No longer a MISS but now a MRS...

As of September 3, 2006, my name changed.
I am no longer a young MISS.
I am now a young MRS.
I took my vows.
I signed the paper.
My last name is now a different one.
To those of you who missed it or didn't know it was going to happen, don't worry.
The wedding in May is still ON.
Both his parents and my own will be there to watch us rededicate ourselves to each other.
We just wanted to have this small wedding now, for ourselves.
I just wanted the world to know... I am now a married woman.
The Account:
We had originally planned to get married by the justice of the peace. But the judge didn't feel like getting up out of bed to marry us. Oddly enough this worked out with his relatives plans and they all wanted to throw us a small surprise reception on Sunday. The Pastor's wife and the church congregation also didn't want us to get married in an unfeeling court but within the church.
So they threw us a wedding. They prepared it all. The flowers, the cake, the food at the reception. All I had to do was be there. It was touching and sweet. Especially since Jon and I didn't think anyone really cared whether we didn't it by the court or not. But they all wanted our first marriage to be a real albeit small wedding.
So even though we still had plans for a May wedding, they threw us a small one anyway. Saying we might as well do it right the first time. To all of them and all of you who knew in advance, I say thanks from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making it so special and sweet.
